Country music has always felt like home for Elyse Saunders. Blending her small-town Ontario roots with the bright lights of Toronto and Nashville, she regularly captivates crowds with powerhouse vocals, a dynamic presence, and an interactive charm. To date, Elyse has enjoyed album collaborations with noted producers Cyril Rawson (songwriter: Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson) and three-time CCMA/CMAO award winner Joel Feeney, industry showcases at Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, and Canadian Country Music Week, and upcoming television placement for her 2017 single, “Rise”, at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Worth noting, “Rise” went top 20 on radio after Toronto’s DJ Danny D released a dance remix of the song. Since the release of her follow up single – the socially-conscious “Me Too” in 2018 – Elyse has developed new inspiration through Nashville song writing trips and extended studio time. As a result, she’s primed to mark her next musical chapter with a refined sonic synergy of country, alt-country, and pop sounds. Watch the video for her newest single, “Feel You Leaving”, on YouTube”. “Feel You Leaving” garnered its own attention when it was selected as a semi-finalist for the International Songwriters Competition out of 19,000 submissions globally and after its official release this past July, it was added to CBC Sirius XM and played on CHCH Hamilton with an interview and live performance by Elyse and her band. A rising songwriter, Elyse Saunders is also gaining a reputation for her live show. This past year Elyse could be seen opening ahead of Terri Clark & Jason Aldean at Sunfest Country Music Festival in Cowichan, BC., sharing a showcase spot at Canadian Music Week with Nice Horse, Kira Isabella & David James and rocking the stage at Powassan’s Smoke ‘N’ Spurs ahead of Eric Ethridge & Washboard Union.
