Learn about Destination Ontario and the work they do to promote festivals and events across Ontario. Also, hear about some of their learnings and tips for marketing your festival or event. The session will include a presentation and plenty of time for Q&A.
Three KEY Learning Outcomes:
1. Become familiar with the work of Destination Ontario, the provincial tourism marketing agency of the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries (MHSTCI)
2. Learn how to leverage Destination Ontario’s assets to promote your destination, festival or event; and
3. Learn key tips from Destination Ontario on how to market your destination, festival or event.
As Partnerships Coordinator, Kathy plays a key role within the Industry Relations and Communications team at Destination Ontario, enthusiastically consulting with tourism stakeholders to ensure that they are leveraging Destination Ontario’s paid, earned and owned marketing activity as well as expertise; and developing opportunities for collaboration.
Kathy has been developing mutually beneficial partnerships with the tourism industry as part of Destination Ontario for the last 15 years after gaining private sector tourism experience in operations, partnerships, travel trade, sales, and marketing.
